If you are looking for a classic steak and potatoes dinner, you found the right place! This one skillet recipe is easy, flavorful and really filling! The buttery garlic sauce mixed with juicy steak and crispy golden potatoes will make you look like you spent hours in the kitchen and your family will feel like they are at a steakhouse, in the comfort of your own home. One meal, one pan, one happy family. 

One Skillet Steak + Potatoes
Ingredients
  • 1.5 Yukon Gold Potatoes, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1.5 lbs Steak (NY strips, rib eye, sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tsp Minced Garlic
  • Salt, pepper and desired steak seasoning (we used general steakhouse seasoning)
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium high heat, heat 1 tbsp oil and add chopped potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder, mix together. Cook about 5-7 minutes, stir and cook additional 5-7 minutes or until fork tender. Remove and set on a plate.

  2. While potatoes are cooking, cut steak into bite sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Add other steak seasonings, cajun or seasoned salt, as you wish. (We added about 2 tbsp steakhouse seasoning).

  3. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil to skillet on medium high heat and add the steaks. Cook about 3 minutes on each side (or until brown and your desired doneness).

  4. Add butter and minced garlic and mix. Add potatoes back into skillet and voila, enjoy!!
